Join the rest of the pack and kick-start the semester by attending welcome events on campus. It's a great way to get a sense of what post-secondary life is all about. Plus, you will have fun making new friends and meet faculty and Students' Association representatives.

What to Expect for Spring 2024
How to Access your Important Documents
To access your My Documents, you will first need to log in to your myNWP account. If you do not have
an account, you can request one.
Once you have logged into your myNWP account, select the Home tab, click on the Document Library and
then view the My Documents section.
Student ID Cards
Digital ID Cards
All NWP Student ID cards will be digitally available in the NWP App. You can download the app for
Android or Apple
devices and then upload your photo through the app's provided steps.

Physical ID Cards
If you require a physical ID card for your program, we will print your card and make it available for
pickup at our IT
HelpDesk. To arrange a pickup time, please email the Help Desk at helpdesk@NWPolytech.ca.
Please note, if a physical card is not required for your program, but you require it for another
reason, please upload
your photo and then email the Help Desk at helpdesk@NWPolytech.ca to request that it be printed
and
arranged for pickup.
Student Supports
The student hub is a place on our website where you can find all support information in one place,
including technical support should you require it! You can access the

of the website.

Academic Advising
Academic Advisors help you to plan your program. If you are in a 1-2 year Certificate or Diploma
program you will be introduced to your Academic Advisor in your program specific orientation at the
end of this section. If you are in a University Transfer program, you can access an Academic Advisor in Student Services.
Students' Association
The ³ÉÈË´óƬ Students' Association (NWPSA) is a nonprofit
organization located within ³ÉÈË´óƬ. NWPSA is proudly student
owned and operated. We are constantly thinking of ways we can help our fellow students ensure they
receive the best
experience possible. NWPSA offers students many different benefits such as the health and dental
program*, a relaxing lounge, study space and fun events and activities. Most importantly we provide
student representation to the institution's faculty and administration, as well as municipal and
provincial levels of government.
*Registration in most full-time credit programs means you are automatically enrolled in the mandatory
extended student health and dental plan. You may opt out of this plan if you can prove extended
coverage by another plan. You must opt out each year. Please refer to eligibility
requirements

The Learning Commons is more than just a library! It is the academic heart of our campuses and a
place
for students, faculty, and community to engage, learn and discover. All library services as well as
testing accommodation, research support, technology assistance, accessibility services and tutor
supports can be found here.

Program Orientations
In addition to the main orientation, your program may have a specific orientation to familiarize you with the
different aspects of the program, and to outline the plan for the year. Any plans will be communicated
directly by your department through your student email.
